Have purchased a firm spring for a set of Pikes. RS manual talks of lower leg removal etc all necessary or can it be a 'lift out/drop in' changeover?

Easy.

Undo the U-turn top cap on the spring side and remove it. Watch out for the little balls and springs. At the other end, undo the allen bolt on the bottom of the leg about 5mm. Give the bolt a whck with a spft faced hammer to release the spring. The undo the top cap of the spring and remove the spring.

Refitting is the same but in reverse but you obviously don't need to whck the spring back in. Best to smear some grease over the spring before refitting.

Sweet! Knew it had to be easier. Speedy service from TFT when ordering the spring also.

Make sure before you remove the foot nut the fork is horizontal or you'l lose your oil! Other than that takes about 20mins to do
