Bike bonanza is in Sheffield on Sunday, anyone going? or went last year? DOn't know what to expect really but being in Sheffield I thought i'd head along.
Lots of fapping and over priced bargains is my bet.
I've got some stuff to see and wondered if this was worth a look. However, £25 is a bit steep if nothing sells.
Do people buy much from the jumble?
I'm heading there, with my shop hat on. There's a fair mix of stalls, the ones who do best are the ones chatting and discussing things rather than just sitting waiting hopefully for a customer. I reckon around 50/50 between trade stands and public.
Our attitude is more jumble sale than anything. Taking old stock/odd sizes and pricing as proper bargains with the aim of selling almost everything.
Well worth a visit, but it's much busier early on.
I'd go if it was closer but need one down south, plenty of stuff I need to shift.
they've done Bristol before IIRC, I don't know if another one is planned for another location
I think we're planning on heading down for around 10, think it'll be worth a look, never know at these kind of things, may be a few bargains about. I know burgrtec mentioned they have some end of line stuff to get rid of, wonder if other companies will be the same..
Gutted that I'm stuck working as I could have sorted most of the bits for my Dad's crimbo present build. A friend of mine went last year to Sheffield and built up a half decent hardtail for just shy of £100!
PSA for anyone heading to the bonanza Evans have a warehouse sale starting this weekend about a mile away at their Queens Road store. The email flyer claims over 5000 bikes and similar amounts of clothing and bits all up to 50% off.
That's literally a stones throw from me Riofer, may hold out for the bonanza on sunday, can't afford too much being a student and all now.. Although, that's what the overdraft is for right? haha
Mind, was in yesterday and they did seem to be loads of clothing on rails and things as if it were to be sold off
Edit again: Here's info about it, in the yellow strip under the map

I went last year.
For selling, dont bother. There's just so much of everything you can barely give stuff away.
For buying, go for it. You could build a top notch bike for about £10.
There were a few stalls last year that didnt sell a damn thing. Their stuff wasnt overpriced either.
Anyone know what the discounts on burgtec is like? Probably the stall I'll head to first..
They were selling pedals at about half price last year
Decent discount then! SHame I use clips but hopefully something to go by
Just got back in from another great well organised event. Loads of people there enjoying themselves and loads of bargains. Sold some stuff, bought some stuff. Made a bit of a profit.
Same. Got myself a couple of nice upgrades for peanuts. Also some unused Royal kit from Peaty's stand for next to nothing.
Anyone else get a bargain?
Some Saint cranks for £5 and dh tires at £5 were my best.
Passed up on a carbon santa crux lt blur for £750,bit more than I had in my back pocket.
I missed it. Bit gutted really! Can we have some more bargain brags to make me feel even worse!?
I got a few bits cheap, bits of kit too, can't say too much incase my brother sees this, got him something there 😉 haha
