Can I just say that I think it's fundamentally wrong to post video of a stranger on a pubic forum so that people can basically letch over her without her consent.

Cheers Pook, I reckoned that was probably the case, but I thought I'd mention it as people don't really seem to have thought it through. Crashes on the the other hand...

Should we not have looked at her as we rode past either?

I must admit, to be honest I think the call for seeing her in the video is more as a result of the banter that followed, and no a request for any masturbatory aids. I think that it's an unfair judgement to pass on the members of the group who, in a tongue in cheek manner are asking for visual reference of the girl we were talking when ripping the proverbial out of sam for his comment.

But still, she's not in the video because as a person with half decent judgement; both when it comes to social etiquette, and editing a video, it was just a rubbish shot.

Anyway. Back to the crashes.

I am aching. I understand Harry is also sore today. I'm just looking at the crash itself.....

I'm not saying that at all, I actually stopped and chatted to her for five minutes. I'm just saying that posting video of a stranger on a public forum without her consent makes me feel a bit uneasy. You have a rip at me for thinking that if you like, that's just my opinion ๐Ÿ˜•

I'm not having a go I just think you're being a little over sensitive. I saw it how Chris has described in his first paragraph above. Had it been a chap/un-attractive person/sheep that I'd had an amusing chat with I think people would still want to see the cause of the hilarity.

In addition to that, we don't own the copyright to our own image - so I can go out in a public place, film people doing what they are doing and put it on the internet, no drama. TV crews do it all the time - watch the news this evening. How people choose to react to those images is up to them but in this specific case, I don't believe there's anything to 'letch over'. YMMV

Well, I think you're being insensitive ๐Ÿ˜• My first exhibit for the prosecution is that your opinion appears to be shared by Hora, which is never a good thing... ๐Ÿ™„

I rest my case...

Thanks to Chris & Jules for the organisation & all the counting ๐Ÿ™‚ . Thanks to (was it?) Graham for the cake and to everyone else for a good day out.

I'll even forgive whoever it was that took me out at the bottom of Pindale. My calf feels like it's bruised but, disappointingly, nothing to see. Congratulations to the lad who managed to avoid me on the lane down from Greenlands but who crashed spectacularly in doing so. You had me worried there for a second. Hope you're OK.

I think I was riding a bike magnet yesterday ๐Ÿ˜€
Someone came round the last corner (the house) saw we were closer than he was expecting & tried to make the gap to my left just as I was dismounting. Clipped my left calf (which was still clipped in) with his pedal as he went past and I was flipped onto my arse. Looked worse than it felt I think. He was very apologetic ๐Ÿ™‚
Similar thing happened below Greenlands, some of us had stopped because of the horses, rider comes hooning round the corner...

I'm not entirely sure what I'm being insensitive to, but it seems we've got different opinions on the matter so I'll leave it there.

It was an awesome ride, which is what this thread should be about, so thanks again Chris, Jules, t'other Chris for giving me a lift and everyone else for turning up

Ourkidsam is under 30 BWD. I think he's allowed to vocally talk about the fairer sex still unlike old timers like me and you who really shouldn't be spending 5mins 'talking to her' ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just had a look must have missed it first read, although it does not list the local/trail names (that I can see) such as Pindale, Edale,Mam torr, chapelgate ect

Although I just looked at your pics nbt and spotted Hollins cross and Bradwell edge.

I didn;t take any pics, I just showed Graeme's link

Name wise we did Greenlands up to Hollins Cross, round Mam Tor to Mam nick and across the valley to dirtlow rake and pin dale, through the cement works to bradwell, up the double track to shatton moor then down bradwell edge, back through the cement works to Castleton, up the broken road and back through Mam Nick to drop down the Toboggan run to Edale (although a splinter group rode up to Hollins Cross and dropped to Back Tor Farm)
