Had a great ride last weekend, up jacob's/rushop edge/cavedale/broken road

Sunny, yet still muddy. The best combination. Had never riden Cavedale despite riding in the peaks forever, have to say it was simply brilliant, such fun, much better than Jacob's Ladder

It does. Didn't know there was an old police station there ๐Ÿ˜†

But the way I did it that day meant i was riding away from Barber Booth, towards hayfield

isnt it frustrating that our sport looks so slow on helmet cam type footage? it really flattens out the terrain too, making us all look like sherwood pines pootlers!

tell your mate off for descending sitting down too, thats not what FS is for the lazy git!

It does always look slow/flat/easy ๐Ÿ˜† Annoying!

He is on a Front sus, On-one.

Interesting stuff about the old Police House.

Yeh fair point, sitting down downhill can only end in pain...

Yup bar mounted. MUCH more secure than helmet mounted.

I didn't know about the old police house either.

Great Videos Will. You make it look so easy. It's even trickier with the walkers on the trail.

Like the Ambergate vids Will - have you got it mapped? I didn't think there was that much riding there.

Think I saw you guys last weekend - grovelled up the climb and chatted at Edale cross with you. Was on the blue and white Kona.

Glad you had a good rest of ride.

Enjoyed those vids, that Cavedale place seems quite popular... seen less folk walking round local town centre on a Saturday afternoon.

I'd title the "Jacob's Ladder descent", the "Edale Cross Descent".

I havne't sorry. But tbh it;s one of those rides shouldn't be shared on public forum. However what i will say is go up there and have a hunt around. you will find some great trials.

I'm sure Cavedale was worse than that about 5 years ago when I last rode it, seems like there are less rocks at the top now?

Good rest of ride thanks Will, dropped down to Coldwell clough, over Roych to Rushup, then Mam Tor, Edale, Jaggers and back to Hope.

Cavedale got meddled with a few years ago at the top, all the rock gardens on the flatter upper section got moved to the side, thankfully the bottom bit is still all a bit exciting.

Sounds like a good ride Andrew. The top section of cavedale is just so fast and fun, the bottom section is just cool!
