Heading to Northumberland for the weekend from Birmingham. Hoping to stop off on Friday on the way for a spin to split up the journey. Any suggestions of where’s good? Was thinking wharncliffe but not sure of everything worthwhile is gone now? Somewhere along the m1 corridor really. Thanks
All the trails are still there at Wharncliffe, or they were a couple of weeks ago. There are three bermy jumpy man-made runs in Greno Woods, and endless steep slippy tracks over the road at Wharney.
Cut Gate maybe? Just on the driving that looks like a very easy sojourn from the M1. Park up at Langsett and to an out and back to Ladybower - classic trail.
Obv there's loads of stuff to consider in the Peak but you don't want to get mired in B-road nonsense if you're just stopping off.
The wharncouver stuff at wharncliffe has gone but all the other trails are still there.
