Can anyone recommend some low price decent panniers and perhaps bags to fit a 2015 Croix De Fer? Don't need to be huge as they're only to carry some small folders, need advice as this is well out of my comfort zone!

Not sure about a rack, but if you want cheap bags look no further than these. I bought some last year and they're great. You may need to keep an eye on the fixing hook but its no problem, in fact with a pair of pliers to bend it a bit to hold it in place you wont need to keep an eye on it.

Yeah you won't go far wrong with the above if you want cheap as chips.

I've got a Tortec Ultralight on mine. I don't/wouldn't use it for heavily laden touring but for weekends/commuting/shopping it's fine. I bought it because it's a nice clean minimalist design but still has a plate to mount a light on.

We use Vaude panniers as we also go 'proper touring' on more heavy duty bikes. I can't fault them, very tough, waterproof and clip on and off in 2 seconds with ease. Not cheap but I've used cheap ones and they always fall to bits.

All it's for really is to carry two A5 folders which are full of small booklets. I'm a relief railway signaller (as of this week) and cover a number of boxes but have to have my rulebooks with me at all times which writes off riding to work as they fill my rucksack so I figured this was the most sensible solution to allow me to keep cycling to work. Before I just kept them in my locker but now as I don't have one I'm scuppered!

Yeah, you don't need a super tough rack. Pretty much anything will do. My Tortec was £30. I like them simply because of the light mounting plate on them

Blackburn do well made, well priced racks. To be honest I found the biggest expense was the pannier- I went for an Ortlieb, because they are properly waterproof and clip on and off really quickly

Ordered the Tortec Ultralite and the SJS bags after reading a lot of good reviews. Also they were only a tenner for the bags so it's not the end of the world if they turn out to be no good!
