I know the eeb mantra is get the biggest baddest most powerful you can but, for the type of biking I specifically use my eeb for, the Pace RCE429 looks an interesting bike.
I have a Ripmo for trails but use the eeb for exploring long distance paths or our local hills (Southern Uplands here in Scotland). I use the eeb (Rise) in it's lowest power settings to eek out battery for distance. And I would like a removable battery for when staying in accommodation. Anything else similar to the new Pace out there (as I don't know the market)?
My mate has a Giant that follows a similar path although that is far more of a commuter.
I would probably still like it to be MTB-ish as the "coming down" off the local hills is usually sheep tracks and often steep.
Most eHardtails tend to be unwieldy things where you'd be better off just getting a full suss, but the Pace seems have a niche of it's own. I can't think of any other MTBs like it. Could be ideal if it ticks your boxes.

I find this very interesting as it seems ideal for the sort of riding I do these days, more gravel with bits of proper mtb. However I couldn’t find any hint of how heavy it is on the Pace website. I was constantly told it was the lightest premium emotor but nothing about bike weight. It’s a fairly low power motor so it needs to be significantly lighter than the 25kgs a lot of full power full sussers seem to be.
The "frameset" option sounds interesting - all the "eeb" bits including rear wheel/motor. Wait and see what the built weight is like.

I’m going to guess he loves it and can’t find a single thing to criticise. That seems to be his usual approach
I think its quite an interesting concept which will no doubt have its haters (par for the course with Pace anyway). Range with the extender seemed impressive too - did I catch it right that the main battery had 80% in it when he set off, he drained the range extender but it still had 36+ miles range left after doing the red at Sutton Bank? There is a LOT of pedalling on that route and the final climb all the way out of Boltby is a biggun.
