Any update on the RC129?

Pace have no cream XL in stock atm, but do have black or white.

Someone must have ridden one by now.

A couple of mates rode Sophie Carter's RC129 in single speed guise when we were over at Dalby. They were both impressed with the way it smooths out the trail.

Sophie showed us some unofficial Dalby trails the following day and it looked fast and smooth (that is more likely just the fact she was pretty much born on a bike though).

May take you up on that offer to check it for size. Are you down near Thirsk?

Yeah just outside thirk, So will be out on the moors on it a bit, planning to put a fat front tyre on it, but also have plenty of parts to build it conventionally.

I'm up in Newcastle, but folks live in Pickering, so I come down the A19 pretty often. Could pop in one day to check the size if that would be ok.

Going well, rides really well with fat tyre. But have ordered a Niner fork for up front.

You'll need a mega long hose for the rear brake though.

Finaly got it built just in time for D2D.
Very impressed with how it rides, and how fast it is.
Massive thanks to all at Pace Cycles for helping me out.

rode mine for the first time at the weekend

not a light steel frame, but the swift and nimble ride makes up for it

I like that white one a lot. How did you find the sizing? The really short seat tube put me off a bit, looks like you are both running massive seat posts to make up for it?

yeah, it's a 'low slung' frame, that's for sure ๐Ÿ™‚

didn't pay much attention to the seat-tube TBH, i look at the top-tube length to fit, but a plus side to such a small frame is that all the weight is between the wheels which seems to work well on a 29er, keeping the bike less top-heavy and more chuckable between the legs

(Sorry about the thumb - unfamiliar camera!)

Not sure if anyone is still watching this thread but just in case here is my two week old RC129. I loved the ride of the singlespeed demo at Pace and was amazed at how it flew around the bottom half of Dalby's red route so I decided to go for the same. Really pleased with the build (and thanks to everyone off here who's contributed in buying and selling) and the ride. In terms of fit I'm just under six foot and have the medium which feels great. For a 'big' bike it feels compact but not cramped and everything falls just where I want it. Handling is unbelievably fast by any standards not just for a 29er.

Great Bike (thanks Adrian...) ๐Ÿ˜€

That looks VERY nice in black Andy, no disrespect to the other bikes on this thread, I'd have them all, but Anndys looks best.

Thanks Ben. Its a beautifully crafted frame and I think the black shows the incredibly smooth welds to good effect. Pace have produced an absolute gem.
