A friend of mine is building me a new frame, he's a new builder and is cutting me a good deal. Part of the deal however is that he gets to play in his new paintbooth and give it an outrageous paintjob. Anyone got any inspiration?

I don't think there are enough high gloss purple bikes in the world, but what else?

I'm drawn towards glitter, eyemelting klein fades and old school splatterpaint konas. Maybe a mixture of all of those?

I'm quite fond of things like this:

Klein used to do it properly. Dario Pegoretti has an interesting take as well. Why not go for the VW look and paint each tube a different stock colour. At least it will give practice in masking.

I've looked at loads of stuff like this as I'm dying to paint something! I think you can do pretty much whatever you want. If you make a complete mess, after you've flatted it back and lacquered it it looks professional and deliberate anyway.
