[#4001831]

Completed last week for Community First Responders Charity (raising about £4500) not the best start but weather improved. Did it in 8 days which was, in hindsight, a bit of a challenge when doing it off major roads!. Anyway if anyone's interested:

Back to the MTB for a while now I think!

Cheers

Rich

you need to put up some pics of a bike on a badly mown lawn to get any sort of response on here 😉

well if you insist on doing stupid distances riding a bike with skinny tyres on tarmac what do you expect?

hope it's better soon 🙁

cheeky get TSY 😉

Top tips - make sure you look at your GPS carefully at all times as taking a wrong turn may add on 25 miles to 135 miles? 😉

keep stopping to eat even if you don't feel hungry.

If you have support get them to stop every hour along the route - good boost to the metal positivity.

Take loads of waterproofs and different layers for any type of conditions.

Recovery drink after a long day helps.

If your on energy drink then have something savory lunch and dinner.

mudguards are good but not essential.

make sure the bike is A1 working order saves on mechanicals.

take minor roads if poss - adds to the mileage but minimises death!
