Hi,

I would like a strip down, respray and new bottom bracket shell. Question is, I live in Harrogate and Orbital are based in Sheffield (so not too far away),do I ask Orbital to do the work or are there any other better options in the Yorkshire area?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hmmm, not too sure to be honest? Thread is battered and the current bottom bracket is welded in!

argos cycles are the go to frame repairers for a lot of people. I've had a BB shell sleeved and rethreaded by them and it was all good. Not close to you though so you'd need to send it off.

Few years ago I fixed up an old Raleigh frame using a threadless bottom bracket, the cups were tapered against the shell but threaded on the bearing casing. It worked really well and is still working now no problems.
