Keen to see everyone's E-Tube settings as I'm still tweaking mine (2025 Rise LT H10, EP801-RS, 85nm, 630Wh battery).

I was originally using Profile 1 (copied from someone in the Rise FB group) but I was burning through the battery a bit too quickly so for the past two rides I've been using Profile 2. On the trails I tend to stick with mode 3 and 4 with Eco on the flats/road sections, and it seems to be much better. I did also try it with less modes including the default 3 but I found the gap between each was too big.

I had Carry Over on max to start with but medium feels better. Assist Start is on quick and Assist Cutoff is on aggressive, although I might try that on the medium setting next time I'm out.

@b33k34 @bullandbladder @FunkyDunc @oldfart @onehundredthidiot @StirlingCrispin I think you all have, or had Rises?

I just keep it simple. Not really changed the settings in over a year

To be fair i get pretty far using full power ie Llandegla last weekend pretty much all in full and did 24 miles 3,600ft climbing

I would the motor to ramp up as quick as you have it set I don’t think that’s helpful for getting traction . I also prefer it to feel more natural

Mine dates from 2022 , haven't messed around with the settings so whatever it came with? Got put off when I tried to do a Software update the Bluetooth connection dropped out and instead of reverting back to the previous setting it just shat itself , bike wouldn't work and I had to take it to LBS !

Since then I've left well alone ! It works fine so I crack on , do sometimes wonder if I should change something but I guess basically it means upping the power in turn reducing the range ?

I've never messed with the settings - just run in in profile 1 and mostly in Trail.  Partner's Rise is set with the torque slightly higher in each setting to balance us out.

I looked at the 'more than 3 modes' stuff but couldn't work out what benefit it would give.

That's some decent milage/elevation. On my local loops I average around 22-24 miles with around 2300-2800ft of climbing and have been getting home with just under 20% battery remaining. That's in Profile 2 in my above pic, mostly using mode 3 and 4 with the occassional bit of boost when required and Eco on the flats/roads. If I knew I was going on a bigger day out I'd probably de-tune things occordingly.

Do you mean "wouldn't want" the motor to ramp up so quickly? I quite like it, but may knock it down a level just to see what it's like. The only time I've struggled with traction was on a climb covered in roots with a small stream running down it. I was probably running the rear tyre a bit too firm though.

The default settings are absolutely fine, Orbea/Shimano have set it up well. I just like to tinker!

Even if you don't want to change the assistance levels it's worth having a play around with the other settings (Assist Start/Assist Cutoff/Assist Carryover) if only to see how they change the feel. Those settings shouldn't really affect the range.

That's fair enough, if default feels good then no real reason to change anything.

What I like about the Fine Tune mode is you can increase the assistance level more granularly so if feels smooth all the way from Eco to Boost, then with more levels it feels like I always have the perfect amount of assistance for a given trail/climb. I could probably get by happily with 5 modes to be honest though. As I said, I'm still tweaking it 🙂
