Used to use the rrp neoguard but a mate really rated these and after reading that they keep more crap away from the fork seals as well i thought i'd give one a go, job done, simple but effective.
this build was going well till I realised my steerer was too short, I need shock bushes and my bb needs bearings
finished by the end of the month all being well

Much beefier and better looking new...

I will just say one thing... ride both as much as you can before buying... and buy for how you ride. Mine is a heavy beast now, perfect for riding in the peak / alps, but totally overkill for many other things. You'll get fed up of riding it otherwise.
I ended up buying a carbon hardtail, which at the moment I've been riding more (mainly because I keep breaking bits off the Five like rear derailures).
