I don't suppose you know how to get the shock out of the 5 frame do you? I've undone the bolts but the threaded part seems to be stuck.... itching to replace my old swinger with an RP23..

Drift, or smaller long bolt to tap it through carefully.

bingo !, thinking of trying a coil myself just for the hell of it. local route includes some fast rocky lightweight DH, vanillas up front are far better than the floats i had so im thinking that a coil at the back will improve the ride compared to a rp23,,,, is this reet ?. couldnt give a **** about the extra weight

anybody used or recommend a coil for the 5 and maybe include the pros and cons of using one.

cheers.

How would this happen? Surely if the eye to eye of the shock is the same then there shouldn't be a problem? 🙂

I run an old vanilla rc in the back of my five. Transformed the bike compared to the old swinger 3way that was utter garbage.

Van rc is good, but are really good when tuned as basic valving is exactly that.
Waiting on DSP Duelers to come through in 190mm and 200mm lengths but not due till end of April earliest 👿

i got it for a little experiment (turner 5spot), that didn't work out, so never tried it.
