Has anyone ridden one of these? Looking at a sort of one bike fits all. Have my SS Santacruz highball which I would be keeping. But Ive got to downsize the roadbike stable. Ive also got this n+1 crossbike itch that I can't get rid of.
So I have seen the open UP love the idea and the look plus the colour (Orange) But does it perform? The idea would be to use it on long days out where I could just decide to turn off road at anypoint if I want to and also a wee bit of CX racing at the end of this year.
Anyone got some pictures as well 8)
masons' bokeh would get my cash, but then I'm biased as i
already have a definition ๐
interesting - never heard of either before though somebody else does something similar (googled: 3T exploro)
I was expecting the price to be maybe double what it actually is - still nowhere near cheap though !
3T exploro
same people (gerard) as the open

who is ex Cervelo - don't think he's allowed to make a road bike (contract)
same as Mason, dom is ex kenesis
Yes, Mates had one for nearly 9mths now.
He rides it in both Grinduro and CX mode, it's ace, it's orange.
The exploro is probably out of my price range. being another 1k for the the frame set.
I already had a look at the Bokeh. But it was a wee bit heavy for me.
Seen them in the shops and seen someone riding one - I like the idea of a frame that takes 2" 650b and regular CX/road tyres having toyed with the idea a few years ago but tyre choice was extremely limited.
I would also go for the Mason Bokeh, based on my ownership of the Definition and because it gives even more options. Specifically the ability to fit guards/rack and use it as a winter road bike/commuter, which the Open Up doesn't.
