commuting in this morning and got rear ended at a roundabout.
i hesitated due to some one coming from the right taking a racing line; being in the right hand lane to take a left. the car behind me missed the hesitation and hit me quite quickly - i went up on the bonnet and then got dumped onto the road when she stopped.
landed on my coxyxx which is quite sore.
don't know why i am posting really!
you were in the wrong lane then...oh dear ! lucky you didnt break anything either !
surely it doesn't matter what lane - he was hit from behind and driver's fault?? hope you and bike are ok?
I think tomthumb is saying the other car was in the wrong lane?
how's the bike?
doesn't matter what lane what vehicle, she hit him from behind. not nice
broken/damaged coxyx not funny, been there. hope you are feeling better soon.
BOO! Was the driver apologetic or aggressive?! Hope your feeling normal soon! Almost got driven into today on my commute by someone not using their wing mirrors!
Ouch! Hope you were suitably recompensed by the driver for damage!?
i was in the right lane. i hesitated for a car in the wrong lane. driver was very apologetic. i actually knew her from where i live.
bike seems ok but i haven't had a proper look at it.
ouch ๐
Must have been one hell of a shunt for you to end up on the bonnet!
Phone the police and reportthe accident,
phone a cycle claims solicitor,
Go and see a GP, and expect aa examination, a bit intimate like,
Oh and its a real pain in the arse.
Best wishes.
seen the police at the scene.
paramedic at the scene too; didn't think anything else was neccesery.
daytime tv is shit - definately looking forward to going back to work!
Coccyx
"Go and see a GP, and expect aa examination, a bit intimate like,

Ouch, home you're OK
and fingers crossed the bike's OK too
you going to be ok for the weekends Bivy Ride still?
No need to worry about pace, I'll not have any after 3 months off the bike

Mate of mine was left unconcious in the road with a suspected broken neck after being hit by a car from behind. Last thing he remembers is his back hitting the top of the windscreen.
glad you are ok thom.

should be ok for the bivvy next weekend - not sure about the 'not a race' time trial this week ;). as i own the official stopwatch; i might have to come along as a 'not a race' official!
Oooh, that doesn't sound great. Hope you recover soon. What bike was it?
I'll see you for a coffee soon.
