Going to pop up after work tonight for a blast down Garburn pass.
I was planning to park at Wheelbase. Does anyone know if they close/lock this car park at night and if so what time??
I can't remember if i've ever noticed any form of gate when you drive in???

The beer hall is open anyway so unless you're looking at really late you'll be fine anyway.
As above best come up from Troutbeck side and down into Kentmere or it's a waste of a push up! Don't forget all the good stuff in Kentmere valley as you come back down!
It's 100% rideable from Troutbeck, so that's definitely the way to do it.
Cheers guys. Thats the plan. Never understood why anyone would ever push up Garburn for what is essentially a fireroad decent. Even when it was washer out the other winter it didn;t look that entertaining.

I used to go over and back, instead of doing a loop.
