Quick question, should the gas pipe to a gas fire running under the floor be pvc coated? First floor so no dampness issues to contend with. Are there any specific building regs on the matter (scotland) Thanks

No.Not really.
Under a wooden floor is fine.Make sure the cutouts in the joists are deep enough and don't nail the floorboards down.Screw them for access.
Don't screw through the pipework. ๐Ÿ˜‰
