I don't think mine would be much of an inspiration seeing as it rather looks like a hoarders nest most of the time!

Under construction. Also in Sheffield

Don't have much of a plan beyond some kind of L-shaped work bench. I'm just winging it.

@adamt - see my other thread 🙁 broken/dislocated ankle. I'd rather be sorting than this buddy 🙂

There's no such thing as a crap Saturday as I don't have to go to bloody work.

Ooh! Do all those work surfaces line through? Impressive if they do.

Mine's on this thread:
https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/shed-build-–-things-i’m-learning

Although it now houses a workbench, CNC router (that sits on the workbench most of the time), 3D printer and tool wall.

It's hard at work building a campervan, so always a mess at the moment.

Outside

Yes, the benches are all the same height. And when it's not raining I can set them up outside.
I usually deal with 2.8m boards so I've got an infeed and outfeed for cutting square on the MFT and pocket-holing the long edge of a wardrobe back.

This was me putting pocket holes and Dominos into a wardrobe this afternoon.

I'm unsure what to use for a worktop or where to get it. Any recommendations for the space pictured above are welcome.

I have to store and work on my bikes in this 2.4 m x 2.8 m space so kept the shelves high and wall mounted to preserve floor space.

I have more storage, but not a great deal, in the loft so I made a big loft hatch.

@Scienceofficer I also have an offcut of Kinspan about that size, it's great for laying on when working under the car in winter. Keeps your back nice and warm!

Timely thread - I'm due to move into my new house in a few weeks. Quite excited to upgrade from shed to garage for the first time!

@sharkattack - what kind of lighting have you gone for there?
(pretty sure the garage will only have a single pendant bulb, which to be honest won't quite cut it...)

Worktops: it depends what you're doing on them. Mine are MDF, with 20mm holes at 96mm centres so I can use dogs and clamps to get everything square. Plywood also good. But I'm a carpenter. If you are messing about with oily metal go to B&Q's offcut bin and grab a bit of kitchen worktop.
