Hi,

2.3 Minion is barely fitting my T129 :-/

Despite being barely 2.25" wide on 26.5mm internal width rim.

So started tinkering to swap it for something tad narrower but with reasonable thread.
Smorgs 29x2.25 Trail Extreme looks like an option, but is that going to fit?

Hence the question. Any life experience with that one? Especially on it's actual, measured width...

Cheers!
I.

They use the same casing a 2.3 maxxis, but the side knobs are less pointy so on a 25mm rim they are a tiny weeny bit smaller.

Hmmm... Every millimeter counts...

Maybe Conti Trail King 2.2 or Mountain King 2.3? Not sure how big they are, but if memory serves me well Contis used to be very optimistic with their declared sizing versus real life measurements...

Just measured mine. 58mm at the widest point (the outer edges of the knobs). On a 27mm wide rim (external measurement).

Try Specialized tyres as they usually come up narrower than advertised. Mind you, so do Maxxis!

Spesh... Not the biggest fan of the brand but might have a look around.

Only thing I'm not sure about what model to pick-up. Seems to be so many of them with multiple varieties...

Cheers!
