Any Horror stories? looking for a decent wheelset for £200. I am running two bikes and most of the good light stuff is on the XC bike, so after completely stuffing my wheels on the trail bike, I have a budget of £200 to spend on some decent 15mm Maxle front wheel / QR rear that will take a bit of hammer and come in under 2kg.
Any other recommendations would be grately received. Even if someones spotted something or has something to sell second hand for up to that budget then that would be worth knowing about.
Cheers
get some hope pro 2s, with dt 5.1s, crest, or flow off here?
hope have very good customer service.. even when it is used.
Got to say i wouldn't bother if i were you, i had a set of those in 29er flavour and the rims both pringled in an over the bars incident, was not a big stack. The hubs are okayish, but when i got 2 replacement DT Swiss rims to swap with the knackered ones it's easy to see the quality difference between the On-one rims and the DT swiss.
If you really need an adaptable hub then On-one sell them seperately that you could get built onto a Mavic/DT Swiss/Stans rim, or just go Shimano.
Pretty sure you get a build from Merlin for £200.
