Edge 500 charging OK from USB port but won't mount as a USB drive, which means I cant transfer anything.
Anyone any ideas? Have tried two different cables but no joy.

Someone remind me about the Sale of Goods act in case it's goosed? It's a little over two years old and this seems a bit soon to fail...

Contact their product support team via the garmin website, I've dealt with them in the past and they've been pretty good. Also tweet them @garminuk it's surprising how airing your problems on twitter gets you a quick response.
Have contacted the product support team. If I get no joy it'll be a stiff letter to Evans asking for a gesture of goodwill...

Mine seems very particular as to which cable I use it with.
I've found one that works consistently and have marked it with tape so I know which it is.
Wouldn't work with any if the cables I had yesterday; first time today. Think it may have been protesting at being left on the bike in the shed on Thu night...

some stuff I connect across usb fails to work sometimes..I don't think I have a big enough power supply in my pc to power all the usb ports...the more stuff thats connected the more hassle I have. A navman gps is a particular pain in the arse for this
