[#7503587]

A while back there were questions about which freehubs fitted On One Reetard wheels. The was no stock at that point. There is stock listed at the moment with On One but their prices are not the cheapest. Did anyone sort out an alternative freehub. There are plenty out there for things like Formula and Joytech hubs and I bet the Reetard hub is one of them.
I'm tight and don't want to spend more than I have to on some mediocre wheels.
Further to that, are there cheap alternatives to Hope free hubs, specifically those for the old XC hubs. I want to try some bodgery with one to fit an 11 speed cassette and buying from Hope isn't economical. ๐Ÿ˜€

why don't you get one off ebay/wherever and return if it doesn't work ? then when you find one that does, report back

Hope made their own. Why would an 11spd Shimano cassette not just fit?

11 speed cassettes don't fit most 10 speed hubs only 11 speed compatible ones.
As for the eBay option, you start including return costs which starts to add up to O O costs eventually .
Was wondering if Hope had bought in a body to save on costs. Not prepared to buy an expensive one only to see my bodge fail.

Yeah I know. There are others as well but the price is just stupid as are the ratios for all but a few. I could buy a hub instead.
Cheap is the message. Doubt anything exists but who knows.
