Looking at getting some new tyres as the ones on my bike have worn down lots and I'm not getting very good traction on wet rocks/peak mud any more. I think my bike came with Spec fast-trak tyres.
I'm not that arsed about what goes on my bike, so long as it's cheap and reasonable quality, and reasonably light. Looking at loads of threads on the subject, it seems high rollers and panaracer fire pros get lots of recommendations. I like the pros because of the red side wall, and my bike is to black. I've found some fire pros for £15, but they're 1.8". As I am a crap punter, will I notice the thinness of them?
I would say yes! Though they'll cut through mud like anything, you'll really feel it banging over rocks, and will have to run highish pressures to avoid pinch punctures.
