I think you'll find we decide every year that Cyclepassion calenders are "a bad thing". But we need to check again, every year, just to be sure.

Seem to recall someone got some male riders to do an alternative version, not sure it helped the cause through equality.

Scroutes, is Gee being exploited? Might be. Exploited means someone making money from your work unfairly, or making use of a situation unfairly, and objectify means reducing to just being an object.

So unless all the money from that image is going to Gee, then yes he's being exploited. It doesn't matter if he's agreed to it, or has been convinced to take his kit off.

Just because someone has agreed to do something doesn't mean that excuses the behaviour of other people. It's a bit weird that people excuse the behaviour of fashion or porn just because they've found someone willing to show their bits off in public. It still objectifies and exploits that person

You only need to look at the amount of home made skin flicks on the net to show to see that there's an awful lot of people who like getting naked and being objectified. Those people would probably love to get paid to do what they're already doing for free. It's also clear that there's an awful lot of people who like looking at naked people.

There's a big difference to objectifying the average man or woman on the street or in your office to professional porn stars.

All I've gotten from that is lawn envy.

If the ladies in question were being forced into being 'objectified', I would agree with you. But they're not, they *choose* to pose for Playboy, to be Bunnies - if you like to look at it that way, to objectify themselves.
