[#350366]

putting a carbon front fork on Mrs Antigee's commuter a womens specific trek 6700 which is probably 10years old or so and came with vee's - putting a disc on front with forks easy (and essential as no bosses)

rear stay has hose guides and then near dropout 2 unthreaded holes only about 42mm apart (plus a threaded rack/mudguard lug) - assuming fitting a pretty standard sx or slx disc brake say 160mm rotors is this the adaptor to make to what i think is called IS mount?

Sounds like you need a trek disc brake adaptor. You should be able to order one through any Trek dealer, part #210648.

Just popped to shed - piccy of adapter on my old Trek hardtail commuter. Mine was a Trek part, so I guess as Simon said above.

Is the disc brake mount on the chainstay or seat stay, and are the holes facing the ground or at 90 degress to the ground?

OK so its a Trek specific part - hole position looks just like Fuzzyfelts pic - one of these then gives me what i think is standard IS 51mm apart mounting holes?
