look up vibration white finger on google.

solution;

different grips (I love my Ergon ones), different gloves (specialized ulna nerve thing does work), different position on the bike so less weight is on your hands.

Ex h&s supervisor for construction so know all about the white finger! Am going to try and change position on the bike but unfortunately the roll dosnt have much in the way of adjustment. New gloves and grip seems like the best/cheapest plan for now.

When i started biking (1995) i had zero degree bars, and then later 5deg sweep bars. These days most bars have a bit more sweep on them, so that the angle of the bars is more in line with how your wrists sit relative to your arms.

Grips/bars/gloves/bar height and distance from the saddle all have an effect so you need to experiment a bit to find out what works for you. Personally i think bars with a bigger sweep back would help. Grips like ergon or cheaper specialized equivalents effectively let you hands sit at a more natural angle. Old skool bar ends did this too.

No sweep on the bars.. Totally flat and no adjustment on the stem either cos I tried that earlier, and not wide enough for bar ends. If I want to change them then its both bar and stem which is money I dont want to spend atm . Not sure if the ergon grips will work on there either. Will be going to my lbs in the week so will try then.
Went for my usual blat this evening and different gloves (old pait of spesh ones) helped a bit. Still numb but no where near as bad. The anoying thing is that I only get it from this bike.
many thanks for the suggestions

Try to get some bars with a bit of sweep then. Should be able to get some 2nd hand from the classified for not too much cash. I might have a flat set with a decent sweep on them in the shed somewhere which you could have for a tenner - I'll check.
