Hi all,
I know this has been posted before, but im looking for a stand alone policy to cover my bike and i was wondering who are the best providers for this. I dont need any home insurance as part of it either.

Any help or advice will be greatley appreciated especially since there are so many "stolen bike" threds going around too/

Cheers

Used Cycleguard years ago, never needed to claim though.

You probably have good reason for not combining it but look at changing home insurance to cover bikes. Normally way cheaper.

Thread reading fail 🙂 However, if you just feel you don't need insurance but do have a home and contents, it may be work out better to use house insurance.

Personally I found the cycle specific insurance to be eye wateringly expensive (10% of the bike value per year) and full of get out clauses meaning the bike would rarely be covered.

Interesting, I was about to ask about the same thing (flat I'm in already insured), but 10% of bikes' value is basically the same as getting full contents insurance 🙁

Just spend the ~£400 on locks?
