failing that you've got the wrong mech
why would the slx cranks cause that issue?
bugger to wrong mech!!
dont know just thought i say what am running
MTFU and singlering it
34.9 clamp Top pull conventional double front mech is the type you need to run
Top Swing f mech no good on Mega you need conventional top/dual pull double mech.
eg. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=27692
ve got a 34.9 XT high clamp dull pull mech
take some pics?
thats a 3 speed mech...
so no good?
No idea I've MTFU'ed up a long time ago and run single ring up front
I suggest you remove the bash, the outer and middle ring. cut the spider off and only run the granny ring.
that way you have a good weight saving and is maintenance free
The 3 sp front mech will have a longer cage than the double specific f mech - so lower end of cage will bottom out with a 3sp?
(Excuse the mini-hijack)
To those that are running single ring here, what chainring are you running, and how do you find it for climbing?
The reason I ask, is that I used to run a 6Point, set up 36/22 and have shifted the same rings onto the Mega. I don't think I could only run the 36, as I don't use it for uplifts/DH (and seem to end up pushing/carrying enough).
So, how do folk find a 32 or 34t?
