Anyone know the seatclamp size required for my 2004 NRS? I wanted to get a new post so I didn't need the shim, but I've given up on that (they're rare and expensive from what I can see) and decided to just make moving the existing stupid concoction of shim and post easier.

Is the post a 27.2 or a 30.9 ?

From memory - it's been a long time since I had one - the non shimmed size is 30.9. Changed mine to stop the thing creaking.

It's 27.2 in the shim. So presumably I'm looking at a 31.8 clamp then.

30.9 post and I think a 31.8 clamp. But not 100% on the clamp...
