Hi,
I have a rear wheel with a Superstar Switch Evo hub which I believe is a Novatec D882SB. I need a QR axle for it like this:
http://www.eshop.novatecwheels.eu/category/spare-parts/axles-and-side-caps/axle-qr-for-d882sb/
I have two pristine D772SB rear QR axles like this:

The difference between them seems to be the extra lip on the non-drive side 'nut' of the 772SB.
You may have guessed where I'm going with this. Has anyone filed that lip down to make it fit an 882? Did it work?
cheers,
I haven't done it. Bit when enquiring about comparability of different axles, one shop gave what you're talking about as an option.
Can't decal which shop now mind you.
Cheers for that vote of confidence. I've had the verniers out and I'm sure it will work.
Bit of a ballache though so I'll have a look around for a 'real' one first. There must be loads unused out there.
I ended up just buying the one from your first link.
If anyone ever happens upon this again...I've just done this, actually quite easy, about 10 mins work with a file to reduce the larger flange down to the smaller one's size and it's done. Surprisingly easy and pain free.
