I'm on a flying visit throught North Somerset and need to replace my chainset before Thursday. I know there is a bike shop in Weston Super Mare and one at Burrington Coombe. Which shop would you recommend to do the work? Thanks in advance.
The shop in Burrington is very good, would reccomend without hesitation. If you call in advance, they will sort you out with a coffee and do the work while you wait.
Bad Ass Bikes in Burrington are good - but i wouldn't go there based on the name...
I've always used "Somerset Bike Center" in W-S-M. friendly chaps, who've always seen me well.
Bad ass is a great shop, very helpful. They certainly know what they're talking about.
Scienceofficer off of this here forum is the spanner in Somerset Bike Centre.
A mechanic who is truly anorak about what he does and how he does it.
Very highly recommended.
Try Bicyclechain in WSM,
Their Taunton Branch comes "Highly Recommended",
+1 for Bas Ass Bikes in Burrington. Not used the others in Weston.
I know the name is a bit off putting but they are very good and its a nice shop ๐
I'd really recomend Bad Ass Bike...they had a mechanic wrenching at the recent local 24hr enduro event (Clic24), and the guy did some first class work on my bike...v.impressed.
Also if your not familiar with the area, Burrington Coombe is a great place to visit for riding or walking / exploring (whilst your bikes getting fixed!)
Get yourself to Bad Ass Bikes. It's the only proper bike shop in the area.
