My mk1 Soul singlespeed build is nearly finished (just waiting on SLX brake callipers). What do you think.. 32:16 or 32:18? I was planning on starting 32:18 to get my singlespeed fitness back and then change but it’s a faff once built and I’d rather just stick with one. What are you using?

It's it's hilly and you've not gone singlespeed for a while, I'd go 32*18.

I used to run 32*17 based out of reigate. Some careful route choice and very little I couldn’t get up. See if you can get 17 or start at 18, easier to shorten a chain than lengthen!

I’ve always used 32:16 on 26in wheels.
