Okay, I'll start it going (hopefully). First time up to Comrie Croft today. Feels a lot more natural than most trail centres, glad it's dry today with all the rock slabs

Friday = Dumyat with a friend.
Saturday - Dumyat with other friends.
Brilliant fun and so many ways down.

@aide- Comrie is great in the wet as the rocks stay grippy. Those on the black can become slippy off the main line though.

Just an early morning spin yesterday round Cwmcarn, was slightly drizzly and misty so not great but still worthwhile. Was followed around by this guy for a few minutes though:

He kept his distance whenever I tried to take a picture but when I was riding he'd swoop between the trees a few feet in front of me. Turned a very frustrating ride (my fitness is abysmal right now and my technique incredibly rusty) into a memorable one.

Went for a ride home 40km 1200m of climb. Severely misjudged food (had none) and water resorted to scoffing raspberries was completely buckled. As I was on gravel bike the usual blast descents were slow. Even today's ride round bowhill was a struggle.

A good run for me ATM with 8 rides in 10 days.
Just had a few days in Dunkeld/Pitlochry.
A great area we'll be going back to soon.

Not a normal weekend. Lift assisted at Puy St. Vincent yesterday, ending with a hooching descent to Les Vigneaux via the Via Novo. Then today, lift assisted again at Vars. Caught the last lift up and traversed the top of the ridge shared with Risoul, to descend down the Crete de Martinet and then the Crete du Perron to the hot springs at the bottom. This might be my favourite ever descent. I chatted with some French riders at the bottom and exchanged some beta about other trails in the area and now I have a few other ideas of what to do.

Borrowed a cheap gravel bike from my Bro in law to see if I'd get on with one. Enjoyed the road ride on it although it does attract muppet drivers. two cases of abuse within 5 mins of riding lol

12 weeks after Covid, and this is the first day I was able to ride for more than an hour. It was only 9km in 1.5 hours with 450m of climbing, but I’m absolutely busted now. Still, it’s much more than I could manage even a week ago.

We were also at Comrie Croft, albeit on the road bikes, grabbing coffee in between climbs to the Turret and Lednock Reservoirs. I love the Lednock road, really scenic wee glen and a very flattering gradient before the final ramp, feels more like a flat TT than a climb.

Really enjoying the descents on the road bike at the moment, three top tens on Strava which I was reasonably happy with despite headwinds and sheep all over the road. I guess all that extra weight I have diligently been gaining is paying dividends 😎

Lovely solo 35 miles today - Dunblane to Loch Venechar gravel and home. Sunny, cool, green and (mainly) avoided the traffic.
I tried to keep my speed up all ride, due to not having riding partner it's hard to judge.
After the ridges and Goat Fell yesterday, my legs are rather achy...
