Okay, need to replace a rapidfire, and when i ordered from CRC I also ordered some Gore Ride On cables - got a feeling I didn't read the small print, but when it has been delivered today the cables are clearly marked road use, and have nipples at each end that look the same as those on MTB gear cables, the exception being one nipple is supposed to be for Campag, the other for Shimano/Sram.
So the question is will these cables fit Shimano rapidfires, or shall I get them back to CRC and ask for a refund?

Apparently the Shimano one is slightly bigger than the Campag one, but can be bodged, I'd compare it to the old one and make sure you have a decent pair of cable cutters.
one end is campag, the other is shimano, cut of the campag one which is the smaller one i believe.
What they said, also check it's long enough.
OK, thought so. Got Shimano cable cutters so sorted from that point of view.
you'll need campag ones to cut off the campag nipples.
