At the risk of sounding like your Mother, is it suitable for night riding-lots of snakey type things about?

Thanks Mum but I think a would rather take my chances with the snakes in exchange for a few degrees cooler than riding during the day !

Bukit Timah has the best mtb (esp the sneaky stuff) but "night walking is not encouraged" so reckon folk blasting around with high powered lights might be even less welcome:

Speak to the guys in the Cannondale outlet they have a very active mtb race team / know all the trails

The ANZAC Club have a night ride if I recal. Supposed to be for Aussies or Kiwi's but I expressed and interest and they didn't seem to mind. Never managed to get out with them though.
I met them through the Singapore Bike Hash, which I recomend 100%. You'll see some parts of the Island you wouldn't imagine, cycling through the army training area, then down a storm drain and popping up in the middle of an ultra expensive housing development, before tearing through a hawker centre and ending up in a good bar for food and drink.
Have fun! ๐Ÿ™‚
