My friends little project with lovely attention to detail. It's something different and I love it. Thought I'd share.

''Got a Pearson 'Once More Unto The Breach!' 7005 butted aluminium frame with carbon forks, which was pretty light until I fixed an old wooden crate with some bronzed Danish toggle catches to it, along with a bottle of rum in a leather holster from a fella in Montreal (same guy for the D-lock holster behind the seat), not to mention the beefy sprung Brooks Flyer saddle... but compared to my old Ghost MTB she still goes like the wind!

They're 43mm deep-v espresso rims with a coaster hub fitted to the rear to give me ease of braking when I'm cruising about on the tops, and to add versatility in braking and avoid relying on the coaster downhill and at high speeds, I've got side pull calliper brakes front and back, hooked up to drilled titanium TRP levers. The quick release on those combined with the second quick release on the callipers means I can get pretty wide tires on there and still get them off without too much effort. Got 25mm slicks on there at the minute but I think when I'm back from travels I'll get hold of some 28mm Fyxation Sessions to take on towpaths and such ๐Ÿ˜‰

Cranks are 46t track cranks from Brick Lane Bikes, which together with the 16t rear sprocket give me about 77 gear inches to trundle about on, and a beautifully perfect chainline for the wee singlespeed lass. Pedals are wooden with rubber interiors - no bearings!!! - and skateboard grip tape on top, so I can ride her barefoot like a bowse!

The bars are pretty unique; Salsa 'Woodchipper'. Have a look - massive flare on them! Probably the most comfortable bars I've ever ridden though to be fair to them, though I wouldn't wanna scoot down any narrow alleyways with them. There's a few vids of people riding them through cross tracks on the net though! I double wrapped them in the end anyway, cork tape below and brooks leather above.

Chainguard seems to get a lot of attention too... got that from Velo Orange along with a few other bits - pain in the arse to align, but possibly worth it!?''
