I've been riding LB 29+ and 26 FAT rims for several years now with only one 26 FAT rim failure which was replaced without much hassle.

Has anyone had any back to back experiences between Nextie and LB?

I'm about to buy a pair of 27.5+ rims and another 29+ rim to add to my existing wheels sets andย I like the look of the current Nextie Crocodile (50mm) rims which have the reinforced spoke holes. Looking at the prices they're more or less the same. LB work out a little cheaper inc added valves and tape...but it's not about the cost.

I like my carbon wheels with a little give (I only ride HT or fully rigid) and don't generally tension the spokes up to their allowable max. The LB rim that failed was a 26x80mm but I'd built it up to it's max tension setting. It failed on one of the spoke holes but in fairness I was going full chat down a bumpy landrover trail.

Any real life experiences welcome.
