Any idea when? Seem to recall they have bank holiday sales?

Got my eye on the new boardman Cx bike, it's a bit steep at £1k but thought if they have a sale could be a bit of a bargain, too early in the year or is it just the August bank holiday they have a sale?

They do seem to be almost monthly and bankholidays alternatively if you cant wait join british cycling for 10% discount. Or still wait and double discount it. I got the 1k cx for 900 and its a steal.

Went to my local halfords to have a look at this bike ,but only interested in shifting last years model for a discount.
Asked if they had intention of building one up for a viewing/test and told no ,unless we have a sale.

So i walked away ,will try other stores when i'm out n about .

Sign up for their new letter, they were doing pretty regular online sales, not that long back
BC discount is worthwhile thinking about too.

Yep signed up for BC as a couple of extra's on there could be handy for when I commute, will still wait for a sale, even if is the summer bank holiday it will be worth the wait.

Was going to add I'm lucky as have 3 Halfords locally and they all have the new boardmans built up, but saying that I don't have any proper bike shops except one which is always busy busy.

I looked at the Halfords CX bikes, the only thing that put me off was the press fit bottom bracket.
Ended up with a Planet X offering.

Cheers, Steve

As above- newsletter and you'll get emailed about the 2hr 'flash' sales and other promos, and bank holidays you can pretty much guarantee a sale. BC code works on sale items- I got a Voodoo fat bike during a 10% off Voodoo sale and used me BC on it so got a 500 quid bike for £405.

You can stack discounts ie british cycling, 10% weekend and vouchers. they're doing 10% off now when you trade in your bike (get a old one cheap?).

I had some post the other day with a 10% voucher, might be a centre parcs leaflet. I'll forward it if I can find it. Email me.

One question about this bike, is the rear hub an xd driver or normal 11 speed styles?

It states 10-42 cassette which means it must be XD driver, surely?
