I really should pay attention to this stuff but ... I had to buy a new front brake after the usual 4 year oil spill from my previous XTs. So, I went for a blingie new M8000 XT brake and found out after I bought it that it isn't compatible with I spec B shifters. Grrr.
It was ok as I could swap a brake from another bike that isn't I specd but it doesn't bode well for the future.
Has anyone heard of any bodge to fit I spec B shifters to the new M8000 XT brakes?
ProblemSolvers MisMatch 1.2 to convert the brake to SRAM Matchmaker and Mismatch 2.1 to convert the shifter to the same, I think; the two should then talk to each other?

Alternatively, KCKC do an I-spec clamp, but they say it doesn't work on B shifters - may or may not be bodgeable.

I had this exact (1st world) problem this week. Ended up swapping my bar mount shifter for an Ispec off my other bike. I also learnt that despite both shifters being m780 the two can't swap top covers, Ispec is slightly different. Ended up having to swap cables.
11 speed is the only option!
