New ride for me, sold the dh bike (havoc r) and the xc bike (hustler) and got this:

I have got a set of totems (thanks geetee1972) set to 170mm and an RC for the back (160mm with the other shuttle) for the uplift days/ trips to the alps.

First impressions are it is very stiff, plush and long. Cant wait to give it a proper ride.

oh and logo rim fail taken as red.

Jeebus that's nice!
Gear cable and yellow cable tie are a bit gopping but overall - first class : )

nice, though that rear mech cable needs sorting out.

Funny colour isn't it - looks different in just about every photo.

Grrrrr baby, very grrrrr... that Vitamin P is indeed a weird one to photograph, never looks the same in any pic I've seen of it! Wonder if it is indeed different between batches of frames? 😕

cheers for the comments, will get on the mech cable. I was in two minds about it... it's got to go.

the colour is a funny one... it really is loud in the flesh but dosnt come across that well in the pics.

Gopping, Sorry.

And minus points for use of wannabe ghetto phrase 'whip'.

That is rather nice. Not sure about the Magura forks. Applaud the 1x10 build though.

No need to apologise scruff, cant please everyone... and I should have put up some photos of the rest of my 'stable'. Didn’t notice the inverted commas did you?

Mr B, have you tried the new Magura fork line up? They ride well (just sold a 2010 set) and they are very light.

Where did you get the yellow cable outer from by the way?

DBW - it is jagwire outer. you can pick it up in packs from wiggle et al or on the bay / google per m. It's good quality, just a bit brittle. Took a couple goes with good quality cutters to get a clean cut.

Nice bike but I don't understand this whole 1x thing, especially on a 140!?!

Mine on tour in Morocco last week!

Hmm... I'm 6'1" and would be on a 50mm stem too.... been trying to compare dimensions with the L Spicy I'm riding now, there seems to be very little in it bar 10mm in the TT - but I do like the long TT on the Spicy. Decisions...

Is the shock the newer Van RC or an older Van R?

Thinking about one of these for mine, any thoughts yet?

TT - yep that about explains it! 😆

Vin - It is a basic 2010 van r. Very straight forward really. I haven't ridden it properly yet, will report back when I have. (sat).

Neil.
