...this been done? Well here it is anyway. Looks rather lush. Still not 100% about the swing arm though.

Like it, shame it's in carbon though. All the threads on here recently of cracked carbon, BB housings that have debonded from the carbon frame etc have put me off....give me Alu and a threaded BB any day of the week.
If it came in metal I'd buy one. Love that they've kept the square section tubing design of the old metal Turners, shame the 'milled from solid' BB area/pivot point of the old bikes is missing though.
Looks like a Trance, Reign or Glory now.
Not a long bike? Where have you seen the geo? I can't find it anywhere. I can't imagine it being shorter than the burner and I wouldn't call that short.
all the numbers are on turners website

must say, 1st thought was that it looks short for an enduro bike. Reminds me quite a lot of my trance x (2011)Not a long bike? Where have you seen the geo?
(course, even if it is relatively short they may be correct, and the pendulum has already overswung towards long "cockpit" <spits> )
It's got a 73.5 seat angle, so you can add about 20mm to the top tube of a conventional geometry and a 72 angle, makes 620mm more like 640mm on a large, which is pretty good.
Speaking of which STOP IT! who decided it was a good idea to steepen the angle by 2deg at the same time as inline posts came back into fashion? Just NO! Us people over 6ft still need to squeeze into the gap between the saddle and the bars when sat down, it's not all about "reach".

The reach is not very long at all though so its going to feel short when descending.
That's what I thought Rick. I'd say this bike has a descent bias. Beautiful thing, imho Dave has get the look just right.

That's what I was getting at, although I find it easier to think in terms of top tube length at nominal ST angle (i.e. how long is it with a 72 SA).
17" / 431mm reach on an 18" frame isn't 'short' (IMO), especialy as the XL is only a 20", if that's done with a brace to drop the TT then most people over 6ft would probably ride that anyway.
It's long if you look at the Large as being a Medium (which with an 18" seat tube isn't too far off being realistic).
In fact the geo for the L is incredibly close to my Bird Aeris M.
DT said he didn't want too long a TT and reach as not everyone wants a bike like this for racing Enduro
"Longer would be nice if everyone rode straight rock lines and IMBA / ride centre flow trails. But most riders do not, and with angles slacker than ever keeping in touch with that front wheel is going to be a challenge for most, so I did what I did."
Frame weight is quite high 6.8lbs for large given that its carbon, so doubt it will fail.
I was thinking "there's my next bike", then it seemed short - then looking at the sizing, they put anyone over six foot on an XL.
20" seat tube might not suit me for a 150 reverb at only 6'1" (although Turmer say it will)- but everything else about it is yes, for me = no stpid graphics, DW link, carbon, head angle will go to 65 (and beyond), Turner's customer service rep.... It's the Evil Insurgents without the drawbacks (or the paint sadly)

It might, I'm 6ft and my 125 reverb sits in a 20" frame with a few mm to spare, and I've got shorter than average legs (or rather I've average legs but I'm 6ft tall).
How do these headset adjust thingies work then?
Turner sell them to you aftermarket.
The geometry looks very similar to my spitfire, maybe i am looking at the numbers too simply but if they are then i doubt it would feel too short.
I'm 6ft 1 on an XL bike with a 150mm dropper and maybe half an inch seatpost sticking out. (34" Inseam).
The reach on the XL is longer than the reach number suggests as the stack is higher than usual due to the 140mm headtube. To me the XL geometry looks perfect.
I'm just hoping the XL doesn't look as gopping as some of the XL aluminium turners, which look like someones stuck a pair of wheels onto some scaffolding.
Turner sell them to you aftermarket.
yes but what are they, cup adaptors, gimbles, offset commencal bolty things?
Turner sell them to you aftermarket.
£2700 and they don't include them in the price?
jeez.
scruff - Memberyes but what are they, cup adaptors, gimbles, offset commencal bolty things?
Headsets
I'm lovin' it!
But I still don't understand who on earth spends £2700 on a plastic super frame of which are commonly available nowadays.
It's as if they've bumped the sizes down a notch, that S could easily be XS and so on. Sizing up is a bit tricky though with the large jump in seatube lengths.
Interesting about the larger headset. Hopefully more manufacturers will take it on and we can get on with properly personalised fit, offset headsets and such. The current 44mm top cup just doesn't allow enough movement to be worthwhile.
BTW, no 150mm reverbs. It's got a 30.9mm seatube.
Where is the £2700 price coming from? Has it been confirmed that's the UK price?
I hadn't seen the £2700 price before.
All that to save about a pound over the Bird. Still - I guess it offers an alternative to the Nomad/HD3/Mach6/SB6 for those that can afford it.
Turner sell direct now, and ship internationally.
Dollar price looks a lot better to me.

You're not wrong!
After 2 spots id just defected and ordered a Capra and now this comes out - Pricy mind and just 3.2k for the Capra Pro - I'm hovering on the cancel button as love the brand and the fact i have Dave email me direct when i wanted an answer on things.
Arrrgggh
What stealth droppers can be had in 150mm drop and 30.9? Are there any?
Thomson don't do 150mm, Reverb don't do 150mm in a 30.9.....are you stuck with the KS Lev?
New Race Face/Easton one.
Not that being "stuck" with a Lev is a bad thing, I took it out of choice over the Reverb.
I've got a 150mm LEV in my Mach 6. Works a treat.
it's not flouro enough to be an enduro bike
Any UK riders have one of these yet?
i'm torn between the burner 3.1 (any uk stockists) and this RFX 4.0. I'd rather not have carbon, but .......
Yep, but i wont have it built up till the tail end of next week. I was the same initially with Carbon but my Turner fanboy head kicked in.
The RFX and Burner are pretty different bikes. If its for general trail use then i would have a burner in a heartbeat but if you want a bike for bigger days then you know its the RFX.
I'm thinking of the RFX as a trail bike. My current bike is a six pack that I'll ride for everything from Sherwood Pines to the peak district to Basque and the alps.
I was planning on a burner until I his came out. Seems like a no brainer to me as the rfx is lighter and I'm already on a 160mm bike. I'd be running it with the same kit either way so why not the rfx?
Either that, or I want a couple of years in the hope of an even lighter carbon burner.
My question right now, it whether to go medium or large as I'm right on the cusp.
If you haven't already, I'd post your question on the Turner section of the MTBR forum, most likely a good few owners on there with user reviews.
Chr1s (And anyone else)
You mention that you're interested in Burner 3.1....FYI Turner Black Friday are selling off stocks of 3.0's for silly money....$995!!! You need to be registered for their news letter to get the deal I think - I just bought one from a uk supplier for just over £1100 (new)But $995 is an absolute bargain. I'd been looking for a while cos I prefer the aesthetic of the 3.0 for some reason and the Ano Orange!!
nice looking rfx that 5spot/mrpink/mrexpink!
Hi 5spot nice looking bike. Is that the one push cartel posted pics of on Instagram?

The Burner v3.0 frame is only available in Small or Medium sizes.
So only for short arses then - you had me all excited there for a moment.
Looks great. Please report back.
That's a beauty of a bike...
DT has been a busy guy, there's also a new Sultan coming next year
Oft. Looks good.
