I would think it worth mentioning that these pictures are taken from the new issue of DIRT, in case anyone wants to read more.

It's like an ugly V10 🙁

Maybe companies are starting to realise an 8" 'freeride' bike is not really much of a market now with people using smaller, lighter shirter travel bikes for the same stuff.

A shorter, tighter, lighter DH bike makes more sense to me.

I think its a case of what goes around comes around, Short travel is the new big thing it seems.

Elsewhere in the new dirt there is a lot of talk about quality not quantity (of travel). Certainly we will probably see more short travel rigs for more 'extreme' riding in the near future.

Trouble is once a bike or suspension design is perfected in short travel they will make a longer travel version and we are back to square one, only for it all to happen again.....
