Hi all,

My (first world) dilemma about front sus is still ongoing. I've got 100mm of travel on my frame, so options limited.

I was going to go for the SID ultimates a while back, but was put off by ppl saying their service window is quite narrow and obviously they are geared more towards being lightweight rather than 'fit and forget'.

I see they've brought out new SL's which feature "Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube" and are being marketed as more towards being durable: "combines light weight with long-haul durability". Generally, I do a lot of bikepacking and don't have much space to work on the bike in my flat.

Also, I've got a big trip coming up with a mate who's coming with a HT,  so defo looking to upgrade the front end. The only other option is a pair of the newish Reba boosts.

Suggestions welcome!

I was also put off Sids last year when there were issues with bushing wear. Went for some Fox 34 Factory StepCast instead and very happy with them so far. Similar weight to a Sid.

you can get marzocchi z2s in 100mm format - simpler damper tech inside but require a bit less care and looking after as a result

If space is a problem, you can do lowers services without a bike stand and without taking the fork off the bike, just need space to flip the bike over.

Thanks, these look like they might work well.

Are they worth the extra 100 quid compared to the Rebas?
