The jockey wheels on my sram x9 mech died last weekend so ordered some bbb rollerballs (bpd-02) as replacements. However after fitting the drivetrain is making a racket. There are 'clicks' as the chain moves and it feels rough.
I've checked that I used the correct spacers for the mech and checked that I've put the correct jockey in the correct position and orientation. I've also indexed the gears and checked chain routing through the mech. Just out of interest I also flipped the jockey wheels over to see if that made a difference but it didn't so I'm out of ideas.
The only other thing I'm wondering is if a new jockey plus old chain is like a new chain and old cassette? So the old chain and jockeys were worn together but the new jockeys are now out of whack with the chain?
Any other thoughts?
