I've taken a reasonably recent M8000 BB out of a frame I've got rid of, and it feels pretty grim on one side. Now I know that they're quite cheap, so I can just replace it, but in the spirit of recycling I'd like to see if I can rescue it - either to re-use or (more likely) just keep as a spare. However has anyone had any joy taking them apart successfully without damaging the cover that goes inside?
