[#5990576]

On my old pro2 (non evo) I have just put a new freewheel and 2 New bearings on the axle.

All appears to have gone on ok, but the freewheel is stiff causing the chain to catch up.

Any thoughts on what I have done wrong.

Rubber seal not seated properly. There a is hope tool to fit it or press it in with a screwdriver.

Spacer definitely there.

Do you mean the small seal next to the spacer on the disc side or the seal on the freewheel?

The plastic seal that runs around the edge of the freehub body. Needs to be flush with the hub flange

Ok. That sounds like it might be it.
I could not get it to snap in like it does on the video.

Off now to try again.

Depending on how stiff the seal is they can be very hard to pop back in correctly.

I had to press quite hard with the blade of a screwdriver to make mine seat properly.

Cheers scapegoat.

I think I am in the exact same situation. The freehub has the same 1 or 2mm float of squishyness you describe.

Interestingly the freehub seal looks bigger than the old one. (Other) bike night tomorrow so will try Thursday.

Definitely the freehub seal. Might need the tool to get it to seat properly. After doing my XX1 freehub (XD) I had to use the tool to seat it as it was not going in by hand.
