Beautiful. Love that orange.

Is this really the end for the Soul?

I sold my old 26 soul on here for peanuts. It was a very sad day. Look after it, the soul is / was a magnificent bike.

It's my first one so I'm going to build it slowly and make it exactly what I want. There is only one orange and one blue frame left now. I'm sure they will think of a new replacement at some point.

I've rebuilt my 26 inch soul back up during lockdown. They are a whole lot of fun! But I think I'll be sticking to 29ers from now on as I keep crashing the Soul (not my fault, honest 😀).

I did a 30 mile ride on my Soul last night on mostly roads and cycle paths (with a few bits of Singletrack. It really does cover the ground very well.

I have one arriving soon too! I'll keep updated as I build the frame up.

I'm planning on keeping it towards the lighter end of the trail spectrum. 120mm 34s, fairly light wheels. Probably 2.2 or 2.3 tyres...

Yes I'm going with lighter kit on mine too. I want to have a fast springy steel ht ride again. It is my favourite type of bike if done right (for me).

Do you qualify for some sort of STW Lifestyle award when you take ownership of a Cotic?

Obviously you get free invites to all the STW Towers Coke and Hookers parties.

I hope so as that would be the icing on the cake 👍

With a Cotic you get that warm feeling from knowing that you've made an informed choice. Not the most expensive, not the latest material technology, not from the latest new cool brand. Just the fact that you have seen through all marketing bollocks and bought a quility frame, that'll ride great from a good British owned and ran company where you'll get treated like a real customer. Just class.

I think Cy might take issue with "not the latest material technology".

Ok not the latest fashionable material. Like who can tell the difference between low and high modulis carbon fibre?

Great choice, it's a bike that benefits from a second set of wheels, something light for xc paths but it really likes a set of 2.6 for hooning about and keeping up with you mates on full suss's

Build it! Ride it! I'll just leave this link here in case you're interested: https://worldbicyclereliefuk.charitycheckout.co.uk/cf/singletrack-supporting-world-bicycle-relief

(not picking on you, just trying to put this in whenever I spot a new bike day thread in the hope of raising awareness!)
