I collected my new winter road frame the other day and I thought I share it here.

It's a custom 853 based on my summer bike but with a few little changes. I can't wait to build it. Just waiting on my DC07 forks from Kinesis. So should be ready Tuesday.

Obviously a crap frame, other wise it'd be more than your winter frame...

No. Just on the top tube.

My uncle made it. He is a retired Dr. Cycling runs in our family and about two years ago he went on a framebuilding course. He promptly bought a jig from the states and has been making frames as a hobby. He's really meticulous by nature and he loves doing it. I think I'll ask for a track frame next as he'll be getting bored otherwise!

The frame was sprayed by Neil at Atlantic Boulevard in Bury

I can't say I've noticed a wonky ST/TT junction. May be the pics. I'll have a look later.

Rob - He may be interested in commissions...I haven't asked him

I have to say that is very very tidy indeed.

Fantastic lines

(By the way I used to live very close by in Partington, All Saintschurchtastic, oh so many years ago, folks now in Davyhulme)

I like it, but if that's the winter bike where are the disc mounts?

If he does get bored, tell him to drop me an email ๐Ÿ˜‰

Since when has a 105 groupset not been good enough for a winter bike!?

Thanks for the positive comments though. 1st ride tomorrow. Brickworks and Macc. Can't wait!

Mmmmm nice

What framebuilding course?

If that's the way to get such a nice looking frame then I know what to spend my lump-sum retirement fund on!
