Decided I need to try and go to flats,I'm not comfortable in my clips anymore,however much I like them I just keep hearing horror stories of people cascading down trails after a crash with their bike stuck to them,so I got some dmr v8's and need some shoes to get on them,preferably cheaper than five tens,are normal cheap skate shoes any good?

Shimano am45's i'd go for - look a bit special but dry a bit quicker than me 5:10's, cheaper and they seemed to holding up longer than the 5:10's. Until i left them in a car park..
